What is stored
Vantic IQ stores derived data, not raw activity. Stored:- Derived Friction Score patterns (calculated from workflow signals — do not contain raw signal data)
- Hashed application identifiers and timestamps used to generate those patterns
- Your profile (name, business name, sector, team size)
- Context Hints you have voluntarily provided
- Audit records confirming privacy enforcement on each event (stored as hashes, not as readable activity records)
- Raw window titles or file names (hashed at ingestion; originals discarded)
- Verbatim conversational input from past sessions
- Screen content of any kind
- Keystroke data
Where your data lives
Vantic IQ operational data is stored in Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2, Sydney region), consistent with the Privacy Policy. AI-assisted features may use processors outside Australia as described there. Pattern detection runs locally on your device. Raw workflow signal events do not leave your Mac. Only derived scores and cryptographic hashes sync to the cloud.Retention periods
| Data type | Retention | How it ends |
|---|---|---|
| Raw workflow signal events | 90 days maximum | Automatically deleted after 90 days |
| Friction Score patterns | Indefinite while account is active | User-initiated via Privacy Hub or account deletion |
| Context Hints | Until edited, cleared, or account deleted | User-initiated |
| Verbatim conversational input | Current session only | Ends when the session ends |
| Audit logs (local device) | 12 months | Automatically deleted |
| Audit hashes (cloud) | 12 months | Automatically deleted |
Audit records
Every workflow signal event generates an audit log entry recording whether the event passed the exclusion check, whether normalisation was applied, and whether the event was stored. These records provide a cryptographically verifiable trail confirming that Vantic’s privacy constraints were enforced on every event.Security
